Federica Ferrieri was born in Venice. She came to Belfast in 2010 after spending time in the Netherlands and in Greece.

Her PhD is in Modern Greek language and literature.

She has experience in the corporate business (service delivery and corporate intelligence) and also as a translator and a lexicographer. Her main occupation is writing language books and teaching foreign languages in QUB Open Learning and for the Crescent Arts Centre: mainly Italian, but also Latin, Ancient Greek and Modern Greek.

Federica Ferrieri is also a qualified life coach (with an interest in NLP) and a restorative justice practitioner, using arts based approaches and languages in her cross-community projects.

She is the co-founder and president of Radio VIBE, the first cross-community podcast radio with an Italian twist in Northern Ireland.

She has been the Italian Honorary Consul since October 2016, as well as a member of the Consular Association NI.
